Friendly Aquaponics is a family farm in Honoka'a, Hawai'i that uses aquaponics to grow organic produce and provides trainings in commercial aquaponics production.
Aquaponics is the combination of hydroponics and aquaculture - creating a mini-ecosystem that grows plants and fish.
Project:
Owners Tim Mann and Susanne Friend recognized that their personal passion and dedication to their work was a driving force behind the popularity of their aquaponics trainings and their farm's overall success.
They wanted a marketing video that would communicate not just the quality of instruction they provide during trainings and farm tours, but that would also speak to the mission and values of their business.
We produced a documentary-style video that gets to the heart of Tim and Susanne's work - their focus on creating vibrant local food production communities throughout the world and their commitment to sharing their knowledge with as many people as possible.
Outcomes:
Within one week, the video received over 1,000 views - a sizable amount for a small business in a niche industry. It was also featured on the global aquaponics website Aquaponic Gardening, one of the leading websites for Friendly Aquaponics' target audience - experienced aquaponics farmers and people who are new to the technology and want to learn more.

Vodafone is a global leader in wireless technology. Each year, their foundation sponsors the Vodafone Wireless Innovation Project - a competition that promotes the innovative use of mobile technology for social good.
Project:
Vodafone wanted a video that could be used online and at their awards event to promote the competition to their supporters and applicants. The goal was to convey the dual purposes of the competition - fostering innovation and creating a positive social impact.
As their finalists arrived in San Francisco to make their presentations to the panel of judges, we set up a mobile green screen studio and interviewed each competitor, as well as all of the judges.
In the final video, we combined interviews of the winners and judges to demonstrate how mobile technology can be used to improve health and reduce poverty across the globe.
In addition to green screen production, video capture and editing, we also created custom motion graphics for the video. This video was produced for TurnHere, who provided sales services and project management support.

The Ki is an immersive, experiential event with today's forward living brands, innovative technologies and smart design.

The Ki contacted us to join their team as a media partner and develop a video concept for "A Taste of Ki", their exclusive preview event for partners, sponsors, media and VIP guests.
Because this year marks the debut of the Ki, online video is vital to communicating what people can expect from the main event.
We produced five 1-minute videos that highlight the key experiences of the Ki: innnovative technology, eco-chic fashion, sustainable design, health living and gourmet cuisine.
Our services included concept development, on-site video capture, editing, and custom motion graphics.

The Blue Chair Jam Cookbook is the definitive guide to homemade jams and marmalades, written by master jam artisan Rachel Saunders.
Project:
For the release of her debut novel, Rachel and her publishers wanted a video book trailer that would convey the beauty, style and gourmet taste of her jams and marmalades.
We produced a documentary-style video trailer right in Rachel's kitchen. Combined with her book's gorgeous photos, the trailer conveys the sense of art and simplicity that Rachel brings to each of her delicious recipes.
